The Trip that started it all

For the past two years, I’ve been traveling all around the United States—by myself. I always get asked, “Why do you do what you do?” Well, the answer is very simple: I have a big passion for traveling. Although, it took a handful of trips for me to realize this. There was one trip in particular that changed the way I saw work trips—and that was Niagara Falls.
During my first visit to Buffalo, I decided to take a day to visit Niagara Falls. I had so many people tell me it was something I couldn’t miss, so I finally gave in and went. I decided to try the Maid of the Mist, and I left completely drenched—but for once, it didn’t bother me. Standing there alone, feeling the power of the water and watching a rainbow form in the mist was one of the most surreal moments I’ve ever experienced. What made it even more meaningful was that I experienced it by myself—and that was the moment I fell in love with solo travel.
That experience changed something in me. Since that trip, I’ve made it a priority to try something new in every city I visit, especially on my own, because I’ve learned that those are the moments where I grow the most. 💗
If you ever go to visit the Falls, I highly recommend doing both the Maid of the Mist and the Cave of the Winds—such an amazing experience!!!
